Behind the Voice
My name is Maria Gabriela, and music has been part of my life since childhood. Born in 1987 to a Brazilian mother and a Swiss‑Bulgarian father, I grew up in a household filled with rhythm, melody, and passion for sound.
From my name Gabriela came “Ela” — meaning She in Portuguese — and “Paraiso,” meaning Paradise. Together, they form my artist name: Ela Paraiso, a reflection of my wish to bring listeners a little piece of paradise through my voice.
Chorus singing, lessons, and an endless love for music shaped me from an early age. Performing in bars and events became part of my journey, each stage teaching me something new. Today, thanks to my producer Raphael, whom I met while singing in our cover band Why Not, I can finally share my own songs with the world.
My hope is simple: that my music carries emotions straight to your heart, and that you enjoy every note as much as I enjoy creating it.
